Three children, including two of a single family, were killed when their house caught fire at Sisneri in Nau Kunda Rural Municipality of Rasuwa district.
Police said the house of Bir Bahadur Moktan caught the fire on Saturday and killed his two daughters Rifula Moktan and Mangalimaya Moktan. Moktan’s neighbor Dhan Bahadur Moktan’s daughter Asmita Moktan was also killed in the fire.
The incident occurred at around 3:15 today, informed Rasuwa DSP Sharad Thapa Chhetri.
There were no guardians when the incident occurred. Police said the fire was likely started by the children when they played with a lighter.
