Unified party will be named Nepal Communist Party: Leader Nepal

Speaking during a cadres meet programme organised by UML Regional Committee held at Tikapur on Friday, leader Nepal said that the suffix in the names of both the parties will be dropped and the prefix—Nepal Communist Party—will be held as the name of the unified party.
“The party established by Pushpa Lal Shrestha in 2006 BS was named Nepal Communist Party. Later on the party splintered to various other factions adding suffix such as Marxist Leninist, Masal, Mashal, Unified Marxist Leninist, Maoist Centre among others,” said Nepal, “Now, we will disregard all the suffixes and just keep Nepal Communist Party.”
The former Prime Minister further said that the new unified party will hand over responsibilities as per the qualification and sacrifice of the party leaders adding that discussions are underway for the same.
Leader Nepal further said that national and international forces are trying to foil the unification process urging the party cadres to be vigilant of such elements. He said that both parties will fulfill the people’s aspirations of unification between the left alliance members soon.
CPN-UML Regional Coordinator Surya Chandra Bhattarai, Regional Incharge Prem Bahadur Saud among other leaders also resonated the same opinion put forth by senior leader Nepal.
