Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned an emergency meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) for Friday.
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned an emergency meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) for Friday.
The meeting will be held at PM Deuba's official residence in Baluwatar tomorrow morning, read a notice issued by the NC central office on Thursday. The agenda of the meet, however, has not been disclosed yet.
NC central member Gyanendra Bahadur Kari informed that the meeting will dwell on deciding the members to be sent in the Federal Parliament under Proportional Representation (PR) category. The NC has secured 40 seats under PR category in the House of Representatives.
The meeting will finalise 40 candidates out of 110 candidates in its closed list submitted to Election Commission. The 40 names will be then given to EC on Friday itself.
The EC will announce the winner of 110 PR seats of the House of Representatives tomorrow itself.
