The Office of the Election Commissioner in Janakpur has distributed certificate to the newly elected National Assembly (NA) members from Province 2 on Wednesday. There are eight members in NA from Province 2.

Eight members from Province 2 were elected unopposed. Jitendra Dev from Nepali Congress, Ramesh Prasad Yadav from Rastriya Janata Party Nepal and Suman Raj Pyakurel from CPN-UML were elected unopposed under open category. Similarly, Mukta Kumari Yadav of NC, Pramila Kumari of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal and Shashi Kala Dahal of Maoist Centre were elected unopposed under women category.

Likewise, Brisesh Chandra Lal of RJPN under minority quota and Ramprit Pashwan from SSFN under Dalit quota were elected unopposed.
