As many as 2,000 people lose their lives in road accidents in Nepal annually.
According to the data provided by Nepal Police, total 8,982 people had lost their lives to raod mishaps in the past five years.
Number of deaths caused by road accident was 1,787 in fiscal year 2070-71 BS, 2,004 in 2071-72, 2006 in 2072-73, 2,384 in 2073-74 and 801 in the first four months of fiscal year 2074-75.
