Indian Minister Swaraj's Nepal visit ill-timed: Shekhar Koirala

Indian EAM Sushma Swaraj arrived here in Kathmandu on Thursday for a two-day Nepal visit.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Union Morang in Biratnagar on Thursday, the NC leader said, “India’s External Affairs Minister Swaraj should have come a little later to meet the next prime minister.” He said there is no point for India’s foreign minister to meet the incumbent government.
Koirala said that Swaraj visited Nepal after Nepal’s next PM KP Sharma Oli requested India to send a ‘special envoy’.
In a different context, Koirala took exception to the remarks made by Oli regarding money laundering. “If the money laundering is not investigated, the country would fall into trouble,” said Koirala, “This will not only bring economic peril in the country but also Nepal could be alienated from the rest of the world.”
Leader Koirala said that he was unaware about why and for whom Oli made such remarks but it was utterly a serious issue.
