A child died of viral fever at Dandakot in Junichande Rural Municipality-3 of Jajarkot district.
The deceased has been identified as six-month-old Roshan BK, son of Jaya Bahadur BK.
Roshan, who was suffering from common cold and fever for the past three days, breathed his last during the course of treatment at a local health post, ward Chairman Ram Bahadur Nepali informed.
Last month, fourteen persons including seven children had died due to Hong Kong flu while 2,000 have taken ill in Jajarkot.
