Naya Shakti, Bibeksheel to back NC pick
Naya Shakti Party-Nepal and Bibeksheel Sajha Party have decided to support Nepali Congress candidate Radheshyam Adhikari in the upcoming National Assembly election.
Naya Shakti Party-Nepal and Bibeksheel Sajha Party have decided to support Nepali Congress candidate Radheshyam Adhikari in the upcoming National Assembly election.
A meeting of the three parties on Wednesday agreed to support Adhikari in Province 3, according to NC Spokesperson Bishow Prakash Sharma.
“Newness in political parties and transformation in politics are two lively and common agendas,” Sharma twitted. “Political parties should have harmony to achieve that goal.”
The NSP-N has said in a statement that the party believes the Upper House is a common platform and an avenue of eminent person who can play a positive role for the nation. The NSP-N had been in discussion with the other parties with regard to the Upper House election and their roles as an opposition. “As per this spirit, the party has decided to extend support to NC’s Adhikari for the upcoming NA poll,” said the NSP-N statement. The party also believes that the candidate that will win after the party’s vote will play a constructive role in setting important national agendas and pressuring the government to carry out reforms.
Similarly, the Bibeksheel Sajha has said in its statement that the party is always in favour of representation of eminent person in the Upper House. “So the party has decided to support Adhikari which the party finds as positive candidate, among others,” the statement reads. The BSP has three parliamentarians in Provincial Assembly, while the NSP-N has one representative in the assembly.
