A Nepal-India joint field survey team found that more than two dozens of subsidiary border pillars between pillar numbers 171 and 197 are missing in Kanchanpur.
Purna Bahadur Khadka, surveyor of Nepali side, confirmed that most of the border pillars were either missing or in a dilapidated state in the district.
The team is studying border pillars from Dokebazaar of Punsarbas Municipality to Bramhadev area.
