Kathmandu
Nepali Congress (NC) has summoned the meeting of its Central Working Committee (CWC) for Thursday.
The meeting will be held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 11 am.
The meeting is expected to discuss the defeat suffered by the party in the parliamentary and provincial elections held on November 26 and December 7.
After the party faced the biggest electoral debacle ever with only 36 seats in its kitty against the left alliance’s 116, the party leaders had been demanding President Sher Bahadur Deuba to call CWC meeting and general convention.
This is the first time that the NC is holding the CWC meeting after the elections.
