A fire at Iname in Rautamai rural municipality-1 of Udayapur district on Monday gutted five houses destroying property worth Rs 1.7 million.
The fire started from the house of Rana Bahadur BK which later spread to other houses. The fire reportedly started when the children at the house made a fire to keep warm.
The inferno was brought under control through the joint efforts of the police and locals nearly after one and half hours, police said. However, there were no human casualties in the incident. RSS
