At least two people have died in a forest fire that occurred at Lalpatan Jungle in Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality-3 of Rukum East.
Chief District Officer Bhupendra Sapkota informed that Shyam Bahadur Bohora and Keshar Man Malla of Puthauttarganga Rural Municipality-7 died in the forest fire on Saturday. The duo died on the spot while another local Sher Bahadur Bohora sustained burn injuries in the incident.
Bohora was initially taken to the Nepalgunj Medical College and was later referred to Kathmandu for further medical treatment.
CDO Sapkota said that the news of the incident came late as the incident site is in remote area of the district.
