The recording of Dr Govinda KC’s statement regarding a contempt of court case filed against him has finally begun nearly five hours after being presented before the Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday.  

Dr KC is recording his statement at room number 2of the session chamber, according to KC’s lawyers.

A joint bench of Justices Om Prakash Mishra and Kedar Prasad Chalise is scheduled to hear the contempt of court case filed against KC.

The police had arrested Dr KC from TUTH premises on Monday and had remanded him at Singha Durbar-based Metropolitan Police Circle. He was presented before the SC at 9am this morning as per the court’s order.

However, there was delay in recording Dr KC’s statement and after complain of uneasiness he was resting in an ambulance inside the SC premises.
