The death toll caused by cold in Saptari district rose further following two more deaths on Friday and Saturday.
Lakhan Thakur, 60, Sujan Thakur, 55, and Shibu Mandal, 35, died of the extreme cold weather in the district.
Police said Lakhan and Sujan died on Saturday while Shibu died on Friday night.
With two more deaths, cold wave has claimed nine lives in the district so far.
