Binod Kumar Yadav, the ward chairman of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-1, said Kuldip Raya, 36, and Ramdayal Ram, 35, died on Monday and Tuesday respectively while Rajiyadevi Ram, 72, had died a couple of days earlier than the first two.
The apparent cause behind their deaths was cold weather.

According to the Attariya field office of Department of Hydrology and Meteorology in Kailali, the minimum and maximum temperatures for the district were recorded at 9.5 and 10 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
