Two persons were seriously injured when a person believed to be mentally ill attacked them with a Khukuri on Wednesday.
According to the police, Ram Kali Rai, 33, and her son Arpan Rai, 6, were injured when Shanta Kumar Rai, 40, of Habu, Tiwaribhanjyang in Pauwadungma-2, Bhojpur attacked them with a Khurkuri when they were at their home.
District Police Office DSP Dipendra Panjiyar Tharu informed that Shanta Kumar Rai has been detained following the incident and the injured are receiving medical treatment at Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital.
