Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Dil Nath Giri, who was removed from the post of Urban Development Minister, has resented the “overbearing attitude” of his party Chairman Kamal Thapa.Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader Dil Nath Giri, who was removed from the post of Urban Development Minister, has resented the “overbearing attitude” of his party Chairman Kamal Thapa.
He made such comment shortly after the RPP decided to recall him from the ministerial post following differences with Thapa over transferring Ramesh Prasad Singh as secretary at the Minister of Urban development.
Talking to media after his dismissal, Giri said that Thapa’s decision has left the world stunned.
“By intervening in a minister’s decision, Kamal Thapa has demonstrated the tyrannical attitude of Rana regime,” he said, terming the party decision as unfortunate. “There is limit of bullying attitude,” he said.
With the results of recently concluded parliamentary and provincial elections, Giri said that the agendas raised by the RPP were just for the sake of business.
The former chief whip of the party, Giri claimed that he had not put forth the proposal to transfer secretary at Urban Development Ministry.
“Other ministers had complained about their secretaries. Some said that the secretaries should be changed,” he said.
“I said that if other ministers are changing their secretaries than the secretary of Urban Development Ministry should also be changed as his two-year term has already ended. It will be better to appoint Ramesh Prasad Singh, who is also a PhD degree holder, at the Uraban Development Ministry,” Giri stated.
He complained that Thapa demonstrated a disgraceful behavior right after he put forth his opinion at Cabinet meet. He claimed that Thapa’s attitude would not help the party in achieving its objective.
After the party sent a termination letter, he said that party cadres across the country have been saddened. “I will fight for the justice within the party,” he said.
