Rhino found dead in Bardiya National Park

A rhino was found dead in Bardiya National Park on Thursday.
The radio collared rhino estimated to be of 38 years was found dead in Dadagaun Jungle near Parseni Ghat, the national park authority said on Thursday.
Officiating conservation officer Ashok Kumar Bhandari said that the rhino died of natural cause. He said valuable body parts of the rhino such as horn and hoof were extracted before burying it.
BNP administration said that according to the investigation, the rhino died due to age-related ailment.
There are 37 rhinos in BNP. Of them, 29 are found around Karnali coastal areas while eight in Babai Valley.
