President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged the major parties to resolve pressing political issues.
In a meeting with CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday, the head of state urged him to resolve disputes including the ordinance on upper house election through dialogue, President’s personal secretary Bhesh Raj Adhikary said. The President has been putting the ordinance on hold. As the parties engage in a dispute over its provisions, Bhandari has failed to take a decision on the ordinance presented by the government. (PR)
