Snowfall hits life in Humla, Mugu
Normal life has been affected in upper reaches of Humla, Mugu and Darchula districts due to snowfall.

Temperatures plummeted in the areas following snowfall since Monday night. Some of the villages in the region are covered in a foot deep snow. The locals are facing difficulties as they could not take their cattle to grazing and collect fodders.
Settlements in Simkot, Bargaun, Burause, Hyapka, Muchu, Khagalgaun of Humla experienced snowfall. Chief District Officer Laxmi Prasad Baskota said Simikot has been covered by a feet of snow. The inclement weather conditions led to suspension of all the flights to and from Humla.
Neighbouring Mugu also received snowfall in high altitude areas, including Murma, Dolfu, Rara.
Similarly, settlements in Apihimal Rural Municipality, Byas Rural Municipality and Naugad Rural Municipality in Darchula witnessed the first snowfall of this season. The telephone service has been disrupted in the area owing to the snowfall. However, farmers in those areas are hopeful that snowfall would lead to better harvest of various winter crops.
