RPP Chair Thapa loses to UML's Dahal in Makwanpur-1
CPN-UML candidate Krishna Dahal has won the federal parliament election in Makwanpur Constituency-1.

CPN-UML candidate Krishna Dahal has won the federal parliament election in Makwanpur Constituency-1.
He defeated his nearest rival Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Kamal Thapa by a margin of 6,072 votes.
Dahal secured 40,630 votes, while Thapa got 34,558 votes.
This is the third time Thapa lost to Dahal. Thapa was elected lawmaker in the second Constituent Assembly under Proportional Representation category.
