A dispute arose after the ballots from six boxes were found without signature of the election officer. One of the representatives said the ballots from Pothiyahi in Garuda Municipality-6 were lacking signatures.
A heated debate continued for an hour between the party representatives and election officials. Representatives were enraged after the election officer said that the papers without signatures would be invalid.
The representatives also demanded action against the polling officer. Votes for the CPN (Maoist Centre), the Nepali Congress and the Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal were wasted. Counting resumed after a long discussion when the votes were declared invalid.
