UML candidate Bista emerges victorious in Mustang Province ‘Ka’
CPN-UML candidate Indra Dhara Bista of Mustang has been elected as the member from Mustang Province ‘Ka’.CPN-UML candidate Indra Dhara Bista of Mustang has been elected as the member from Mustang Province ‘Ka’.
He is the first candidate to receive the certificate of victory in the parliamentary and provincial elections.
Chief Election Officer Bal Ram Tripathi handed over the certificate to Bista.
Bista mustered 1,167 votes while his contender Mikyur Gurung of Nepali Congress garnered 657 votes.
Among the 1,836 votes cast in the district, 12 have been declared invalid, election officer’s office informed.
Bista is a social campaigner in Lo Manthang. He is a businessman by profession.
Former King of Mustang late Jigme Parwal Bista’s adviser, Bista had lost to Subarn Kumar Bista of Nepali Congress in the local level elections. He had filed his candidacy as an independent candidate for the chief post of Lo Manthang Rural Municipality.
Bista had joined CPN-UML in July.
