Assistant election officer Yagya Lal Upadhyay died of cardiac arrest on Monday.
Upadhyay, a permanent resident of Bajura, was stationed at the Kalika Primary School’s polling centre (B) in Kailali constituency-4.
Upadhyay suffered a heart attack while he was buying goods at the local Masuriya market.
He breathed his last on the way to the Seti Zonal Hospital in Dhangadhi last night, according Bir Bahadur Budha Magar, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kailali.
