A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army has disposed a bomb planted near a hotel where Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been staying.
Police said the bomb was planted at a bridge, some 400 meters away from Hotel Devotee in Dhangadhi, on Monday morning. SP Binod Ghimire said a sniffer dog had detected the bomb during a search operation.
PM Deuba has been staying at the hotel for election campaign in the Far Western region.
SP Ghimire informed security has been beefed up in Dhangadhi following the discovery of the bomb.
