An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded targeting a vehicle carrying for Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal at Tinkutte in Ilam along the Fikkal-Pashupatinagar road section on Friday evening.
No human casualties have been reported in the explosion.
Leader Khanal was returning home after addressing an election assembly when the incident occurred yesterday evening. The bomb was detonated 20 metres away from the moving vehicle, Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Pokharal said. Police are searching for the culprits. RSS
