Three persons were killed when a jeep veered off the road at Manmachaur in Khadachakra-1 of Karnali Highway on Tuesday night.
The jeep (Lu 2 Cha 2003) was carrying nine persons including a pregnant woman and her relatives on her way to district hospital for delivery when it met with the accident at around 10:30 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Nar Bikram Malla of Shreenagar-3 and Jayrup Bumi, 45, of Gugubhei-3 in Mugu district and Yaduraj Neupane, 46, of Chandannath, Jumla. Six others were injured in the accident.
Movement of vehicles along the highway has been banned after 8 pm. But police had allowed the vehicle carrying the pregnant woman who was recommended for delivery at district hospital.
