An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off near the house of Nepali Congress (NC) leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula in Chandragadhi, Jhapa, on Tuesday.
Sitaula is also the party’s candidate for the parliamentary election from Jhapa-3.
According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the bomb exploded at around 12:30 am today.
Jitendra Kumar Basnet, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Jhapa, said that no human casualty was reported.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in the explosion.
