Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav today said poll survey on the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies is against the election code of conduct, and punishable.
Poll survey violates election code of conduct in the context that the first phase elections are recently concluded, and the second phase is set for December 7, he said talking to media-persons at the office of Election Commission.
Poll survey from any organisation is barred from the date of the nomination filing of poll candidates until the results are out, he added.
He also requested media not to give space to such poll survey conducted in violation of election code of conduct. RSS
