A pressure cooker bomb went off outside the house of Shambhu Lal Shrestha, Minister for Livestock Development and Nepali Congress (NC) candidate from Sarlahi constituency-1, at Ranigunj in Lalbandi Municipality-17 on Saturday.

Police said that the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) burst near the wall of Shrestha’s house this morning.
Minister Shrestha was in the house when the incident occurred. The compound wall sustained minor damage in the explosion, it has been learnt.
