Bhaktapur
The incidents of violation of election code of conduct are going rampant in the district as banners and flags promoting a political party are seen put up in various places.
The district election office's direction to remove such banners or flags advertising a political party and not to put up new ones has largely been ignored, said the election office chief Umesh Rai. Those violating the code of conduct include CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepal Workers Peasants Party among others.
One found breaching the code of conduct will be blacklisted, and subject to up to Rs 100,000 fine or his or her election candidacy will be scraped. Likewise, he or she cannot compete in any election in the next five years. RSS
