Four persons, including a police head constable, were injured in an leopard attack at Shivasatakchi Municipality in Jhapa district.
Area Police Station, Jhiljhile, informed the leopard had attacked locals after entering into a paddy field of the municipality.
The injured have been named as head constable Yubaraj Thapa, locals Gita Kharel Siwakoti, Budh Singh Tajpuriya and Devlal Rajbanshi. Police said the leopard attacked Shiwakoti on her head and neck and added her condition as critical.
Police said the leopard is still hiding in the paddy field.
