NA team defuse IED near poll candidate’s house in Rasuwa

A team of Nepal Army defused a bomb that was found at Lahare, Uttargaya Rural Municipality-5 in Rasuwa district on Monday. The bomb was found at 7 am this morning near the house of federal election candidate Mohan Acharya.
Assistant Chief District Officer Smita Poudel informed that a bomb disposal squad of NA from Kalikasthan reached the site and defused the improvised explosive device (IED). She further said that the perpetrators could have placed the IED to disrupt the election process.
Security agencies are yet to ascertain the people behind the act and the police is conducting further investigation into the matter.
