PM directs security bodies to become serious about security

Addressing a regional security assembly of Province-7 in Dhangadhi on Wednesday, PM Deuba, who is also looking after the Home Ministry, directed the security bodies to become serious about security as the incidents of attacks on poll candidates, aimed at foiling the elections process, are increasing of late.
The Prime Minister also directed the security officials present in the programme to crack down on anti-election activities, unhealthy competition, threats and donation drive.
He appealed all to create conducive environment for holding the elections despite challenges of difficult geographical terrain, lack of infrastructure and human error in the elections.
Chief District Officers of nine districts under Province-7, officials of Nepal Police, Nepal Armed Police Force, National Investigation Department and Nepali Army were present on the occasion.
