The female rhino was released to Janakauli forest area on the park’s east sector in Sauraha on Friday.
CNP Chief Conservation Officer Ram Chandra Kandel said they had so far rescued and relocated nine rhinos that were swept away by the Rapti river to India.
The park authority is still trying to ascertain the number of rhinos and other animals washed away by the August flood.
The number of park animals swept away by the flood is estimated to be somewhere between 800 to 1,000 while at least five rhinos lost their lives, Kandel said.
The CNP records state that 25 rhinos died of various causes last year.
A 2015 census had put the number of rhinos inside the CNP at 605.
