CPN (Maoist Centre) central member and influential leader Ram Kumar Paudel has filed his nomination as independent candidate from constituency-2 from where former Minister and party’s leader Haribol Gajurel is contesting the elections.
CPN-UML popular leader Ram Kumar Karki, also the member of House of Representative, has also filed his nomination as independent candidate from constituency-1.
Lawmaker Ganesh Pahadi has filed his nomination from the same constituency from left alliance.
Similarly, many leaders have filed their candidacies as independent candidates in the provincial election after they did not get tickets from respective parties.
Law expert and NC leader Prem Chandra Dahal filed his candidacy for the parliamentary election from constituency-1 and for District Development Committee (DDC) Chairman and NC leader Narendra Jung Thapa filed his candidacy from constituency-2.
Maoist Centre leader Lekhnath Dahal (Rajan) has filed his nomination from Province ‘Ka’ of constituency-1, UML district Chairman Pradeep Katuwal from Province ‘Kha’, UML’s Binod Khada from ‘Ka’ of constituency-2 and Maoist Centre Buddhiman Majhi from ‘Kha’.
NC Ganga Giri has filed her nomination from constituency-1 for provincial election and Shyam Ghimire from ‘Kha’, Manik Dhakal from ‘Ka’ of constituency-2.
Supporters of both left alliance and NC reached the election office to file their nominations along with traditional musical instruments.
According to election officer, some independent candidates and fringe parties have also filed their nominations for the parliamentary and provincial elections.
