A person was arrested with around '17 kg gold' from from Khudi of Marshyangdi Rural Municipality in Lamjung district.
A team of police arrested Pasang Lama, 31, of Nasong Rural Municipality in Manang district along with the gold from Khudi bazaar.
Lama, who was riding a motorcycle, Ba 58 Pa 4291, came across a police check after which he fled the scene to Khudi which is some 7km from district headquarters Besisahar towards Manang.
Nepal Police DSP Padam Bista informed that they have recovered 17 gold bars. “The recovered metal seems to be gold and the arrested individual has also said the same,” informed DSP Bista, “We will know the actual amount of the metal once we weigh it.”
