The Ministry of Urban Development has decided to mark the World Habitat Day on Monday.
At the call of UN Human Settlements Programme, the first Monday of October is marked as the World Habitat Day every year.
But, as the first Monday was festival time, the ministry planned to mark the day on the last Monday of October.
Ministry Spokesperson Shambhu KC said the government would observe the World Habitat Day and the World Town Planning Day together on Monday.
