Rastriya Prajatantra Party provincial constituency 1 candidate in Kavre district Rabindra Khadka has quit the party.
Khadka, also the chairman of party's sister wing Rastrabadi Kalakarmi Manch, announced he would assist CPN-UML in upcoming elections. He said his decision to quit the party was differences over distribution of election tickets.
"I requested party chairman Kamal Thapa and Nepali Congress leaders to pick me as provincial constituency 1 candidate for upcoming election. Thapa didn't take me seriously, so I decided to quit the party," he said.
Former lawmaker Tirtha Lama was unanimous as NC candidate in constituency 1. Khadka had demanded Lama make way for him for the candidacy.
