A pedestrian was killed in a road accident at Belbari in Morang district on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Laxman Thapa Magar, 82, of Belbari-10, according to the eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

The accident took place when a motorcycle (Sa 4 Pa 8221) heading towards Udayapur from Jhapa hit Thapa Magar.

He died while undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital. Police have arrested the motorcyclist Binod Dahal, 28, of Triyuga Municipality-11 in Udayapur district and also impounded the vehicle. RSS
