At least 2 persons died and 12 others injured seriously when a passenger bus met with an accident at Simta Rural Municipality in Surkhet on Friday.

At least 2 persons died and 12 others injured seriously when a passenger bus met with an accident at Simta Rural Municipality in Surkhet on Friday.
The ill-fated bus (Bhe 1 Kha 722) operated by Bheriganga Yatayat Byawasayi Samiti, fell some 300 meteres down from a cliff near Balikhola along the Chinchu-Jajarkot road section and crashed at the bank of Bheri River.
According to one local Pashupati Shahi, there were around 25 passengers aboard the bus that was heading for Nepalgunj from Khalanga, Jajarkot when the accident took place. Of them 10 have sustained minor injuries.
Shahi further informed that police personnel are yet to reach the incident site causing delay in the rescue operations.
