Mahottari police has arrested three individuals with 15 kg of marijuana on Sunday.

The contraband was impounded by a team of police under the command of DSP Pravin Pokharel while being transported on a night bus at Gadanta Chowk in the district.

Police arrested marijuana trader Harilal Moktan, 32, and two bus drivers after recovering the marijuana hidden under seat during checking. Moktan tried to evade arrest and fled towards the jungle but was nabbed one kilometer into the jungle.

Police has also impounded the Sonamai Deluxe bus (Na 6 Kha 5434) used to transport the marijuana. An investigation has been launched into the case.
