Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar-led Nepal Loktantrik Forum is all set to unify with Nepali Congress (NC) on Monday.

According to a source close to Nepali Congress, Gachhdhar, who is the NLF party chairman, will join the NC and announce the merger today afternoon.

“An agreement has been reached to unify the NC and NLF at around 3-4 pm today,” informed the source.

Leader Gachhadhar was a member of Nepali Congress before mid-2007. During his stint at the NC, Gachhadhar had won the 1991, 1994 and 1999 elections. After that, he joined the Upendra Yadav-led Madhesi Janadhikar Forum and won the elections held in 2007.

Gachhadhar had formed Nepal Loktantrik Forum after parting ways with Yadav in 2009 and won the elections held on 2013 from Sunsari-3.
