Baburam Bhattarai-led Naya Shakti Nepal is set to join the leftist alliance of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) for the upcoming elections.
The left forces are planning to announce their electoral alliance by holding a press conference in City Hall in Kathmandu this evening.
In the latest development, Bhattarai met UML Chairman KP Oli at his residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur this afternoon and expressed his willingness to join the UML-Maoist alliance, according to Bhattarai’s aide Bishwodeep Pandey.
Following meeting between Bhattarai and Oli, leaders of CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Centre), and Naya Shakti are scheduled to hold a meeting in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu later today.
