Landslide obstructs Siddhartha Highway, hundreds of passengers stranded
The Siddhartha Highway has been blocked again since Sunday morning after a landslide occurred near Dovan at Tinau Rural Municipality-2.

The Siddhartha Highway has been blocked again since Sunday morning after a landslide occurred near Dovan at Tinau Rural Municipality-2. Hundreds of passengers have been left in lurch following the obstruction in the highway that was opened 15 hours after first obstruction.
The Tansen-Butwal stretch of the highway was obstructed after a landslide with a huge boulder fell on the road near Dovan on Saturday night. The landslide was triggered by incessant rainfall.
According to District Traffic Police Chief Prabin Acharya, the road division workers have not been able to remove the debris from the road because of the huge bounders. The passengers heading for Pokhara, Syangja, Gulmi, Argakhanchi and Baglung to celebrate Dashain have been stranded.
