More than 60 houses in Bhadrapur Municipality-5, Jhapa district have been inundated after the flood water from Mechi River gushed into the human settlement on Monday.
According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratngar, the families who were stranded due to the flood have been kept at the Bhadrapur Secondary School.
The water level in the river has not been decreased as the torrential rain has not stopped yet, police said.
