A Cabinet meeting held on Monday made the decision to this effect, informed Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba visited the flood-affected Bhediya and Mayanakaredi villages in the district to take stock of the situation following the natural disaster.
After holding a meeting with the flood victims, PM had announced a relief package of Rs 25,000—Rs 15,000 for zinc sheets and Rs 10,000 to built temporary shelter—for each family.
Likewise, the government has also decided to provide Rs 1.5 million to the flood victims as a subsidized loan.
More than 500 families of Bhediya and Mayanakaredi have been displaced due to the flood in the district.
