The winner of Pyuthan Municipality-6 of Pyuthan district was announced through lottery after the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) candidates mustered equal votes on Wednesday.

NC candidate Kamal Singh Pun was declared chairperson of the Rural Municipality defeating Duj Bahadur Baijali of the Maoist Centre through lottery today.

Both Pun and Baijali received 393 votes each.

Pun, who had worked as a teacher for 44 years, is a resident of Phurkethum, Majhkot.
