Ward chairperson at Duikholi village council-3 in Rolpa district has been elected through lottery after two candidates received equal number of votes.
Election officers decided to recount the votes after Nepali Congress candidate Bhim Bahadur KC and CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Jhapiram Dangi received an equal 491 votes. But when the same result came out despite counting the votes twice, the winner was elected through lottery.
CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Dangi won the lottery and was named as the ward chairperson in Duikholi-3.
