In a statement issued by EC spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma, the results of Kanda and Masta Village Council of Bajhang district, Pandwagufa of Bajura district, Chichila and Silichok Village Councils of Sankhuwasabha district and Likhupike Village Council of Solukhumbu district have been made public as of today.
According to the election body, apart from each local unit of Taplejung, Solukhumbu, Gulmi, Dang, Kailali and Bajhang districts and two local units of Achham, voting counting is underway in all the local units.
The EC said that a ballot box of one place of Taplejung is yet to arrive at district headquarters and vote counting in other districts have been delayed due to political disputes.
Meanwhile, the EC has urged all the political parties, representatives and candidates of concerned parties to help in expediting the vote counting process.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav had appealed all the concerned authorities to begin the voting counting process at the earliest.
The second phase of local polls was held in 334 local units of Provinces 1, 5 and 7 on June 28.
